Michael Szwez, BA, JD
Chief Executive Officer
Michael Szwez is Chief Executive Officer of CMP Group Ltd., bringing 30 years of experience in the marine industry to the role. He began his career with Dock Edge+ and joined CMP Group in 2016 as Vice President of Marketing. In 2025, he was promoted to Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, where he helped strengthen customer relationships, support the sales organization, and contribute to CMP’s global growth.
As CEO, Michael leads CMP Group’s next phase of growth, with a focus on customer experience, innovation, quality, and service. He works with teams across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific to strengthen the company’s brands, deepen customer relationships, and build a more connected global organization.
Michael holds a J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law and a Bachelor’s Degree from McGill University. He also serves as a board member of the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA).
Tyler Seebach
Vice President Distribution/OEM Sales
Tyler is an experienced sales executive with over two decades at CMP Group Ltd., where he currently serves as Vice President of Sales – Marine Division. Since joining CMP in 2002, Tyler has advanced from Junior/Inside Sales to his current leadership position, showcasing his expertise in sales management and strategic planning. He leads a dynamic team responsible for marine distributor sales across the Americas and global marine OEM sales.
Tyler earned his degree in Sales, Distribution, and Marketing Operations from Kwantlen Polytechnic University in 1996. His skills, endorsed by numerous colleagues, include strategic planning, product development, business strategy, sales management, and international sales. An active member of the CMP Executive Group and the Delta Steering Committee, Tyler also mentors international sales teams in Europe and Asia.
His career highlights include successful retail management, business development, and significant contributions to CMP’s growth and product launches. Passionate about customer interaction and exceeding expectations, Tyler is dedicated to driving business growth and leading his professional sales teams to new heights.
Theo Vanden Hoven
Chief Financial Officer
Theo Vanden Hoven is the Chief Financial Officer at CMP Group Ltd., a role he has held since October 2017. With over 15 years of dedicated service to CMP, Theo has played a pivotal role in the company’s financial operations and strategic growth. Prior to becoming CFO, he served as VP Finance for nearly nine years, showcasing his expertise in financial management and corporate planning.
Theo holds a CPA, CGA designation, earned in 2015, and a CGA in Financial Accounting from the Certified General Accountants of BC. He also completed a BBA in Accounting from Simon Fraser University. Theo’s extensive experience in various financial leadership roles has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of financial systems and corporate policy decisions.
At CMP, Theo is deeply involved in overseeing financial operations, corporate planning, and strategic growth initiatives, ensuring the company’s robust financial health and contributing to its long-term success.
Darrick Lemaster

As Vice President, Commercial Sales & Supply Chain and General Manager at CMP Group Ltd., Darrick leads our U.S. operations across commercial sales, supply chain, and manufacturing. Based in Suffolk, Virginia, he oversees the company’s primary manufacturing facility, warehouse operations, and Amazon fulfillment, while ensuring alignment between production, vendor management, and inventory availability to meet service level commitments.
Since joining CMP in 2014, he has played a central role in connecting commercial strategy with operational execution across distribution, logistics, and manufacturing.
Darrick holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from American InterContinental University.With over two decades of experience in logistics, distribution, and supply chain management, Darrick brings deep expertise in driving operational efficiency and cross-functional alignment. His leadership includes P&L oversight, strategic planning, and implementing practical, cost-conscious solutions that improve performance across the business.
Marco Piacenza, CPA, MBA
General Manager, CMP Europe
Marco brings a wealth of expertise to CMP Group Europe as its General Manager, overseeing EMEA operations with a focus on sales, finance, supply chain, and manufacturing. Since joining CMP in 2014, initially as a legal advisor and later as financial controller, Marco’s journey culminated in his appointment as General Manager in 2017.
Marco’s academic foundation includes a Degree in Economics and Law from the Catholic University in Milan (UCSC) and an Executive MBA from SDA Bocconi, complemented by leadership training at Università Bocconi. His career prior to CMP featured roles in leading law firms in Genoa and Milan, focusing on tax consulting, M&A operations, and business restructuring.
Marco values CMP’s leadership in the global marine industry, its dynamic approach to achieving industrial objectives, and the opportunity to collaborate with multinational stakeholders. He also serves as a Director on CMP Europe’s Board and contributes to CMP Group’s New Product Development Steering Committee.
Jason Wang
VP, Business Development – Asia, General Manager at Ningbo Jiada Specialty Metals Ltd.
Based in Ningbo, China, Jason oversees the operations of CMP’s overseas manufacturing hub, Jiada, and leads business development initiatives across Greater China. He plays a pivotal role in managing global supply chain demands while supervising sales strategies in the region. As a key member of the executive team, Jason actively contributes to shaping and executing CMP’s global business strategies.
Jason pursued a diverse range of educational opportunities to bolster his professional expertise, beginning with earning a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology in 1991. He later completed Finance and Financial Management Services courses at Vigor Management Technology Association (Taiwan) in 2014, and obtained an Executive MBA from Tsinghua University in 2010 to enhance his strategic and managerial capabilities. His educational journey also included studying Marketing Management at Sheridan College in 2004-2005 and receiving specialized training in Management, Sales, and Service Development at Mercuri International in 1999. These educational achievements laid a solid foundation for his successful career in manufacturing and business development.
Jason brings over 18 years of experience within CMP, during which he has steered Jiada to significant profitability and competitiveness. His strategic leadership has been crucial in navigating through various global economic crises, including the pandemic, trade conflicts, global logistics shortages, and rising raw material costs. Jason is passionate about fostering a culture of passion and work ethic among his team, driving both personal and company growth.
David Szwez

David Szwez serves as the General Manager at CMP Group Ltd.’s Vaughan facility, where he oversees all operational aspects with a keen focus on enhancing efficiency and driving profitability. With over 30 years of experience, David has played a pivotal role in the growth and success of the Dock Edge brand.
David graduated with Honours from Humber College, earning diplomas in Business Administration and Accounting. He is an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Auditor and has enriched his professional journey with numerous management and leadership courses, further bolstering his ability to lead and manage effectively in dynamic business environments.
His leadership style is characterized by a commitment to empowering teams through effective planning, communication, development, and coaching, setting a high standard of excellence through his own exemplary leadership.

Barret brings over three decades of dedicated experience in the marine industry to his role as US National Sales Manager. His career journey spans various pivotal roles, including Retail Store Manager in Georgia and Florida with a prominent big-box retailer, Department Manager overseeing marketing, purchasing, and e-commerce at a major distributor, and Independent Sales Representative in South Florida representing 30 manufacturers. He has also served as National Sales Manager for two different manufacturers, contributing significantly to the industry’s growth and development.
Born and raised in Douglas County, Georgia, Barret pursued his education at the University of West Georgia, focusing on Business Administration and Marketing.
Barret is deeply committed to the marine industry and its ongoing success. He sees his career as a testament to the values instilled in him from his upbringing on family farms: hard work, honesty, and dedication. He takes pride in promoting top-quality marine products and remains devoted to preserving natural resources.
Kyle Jackson
Director of Quality and Engineering
As the Director of Quality and Engineering at CMP, Kyle Jackson manages the Quality and Engineering teams across all CMP locations. In this role since May 2023, Kyle has been with CMP since September 2019. He oversees and supports ISO 9001 certifications at all sites and coordinates the New Product Development process with a cross-functional team. His extensive experience spans engineering, quality, and business development in both commercial and defense industries, working with international teams.
Kyle holds a Bachelor of Engineering Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Western Ontario. He is certified as an ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor, a credential that underscores his expertise in quality management. Additionally, Kyle is an active member and leader of the Delta Steering Committee.
Kyle leads by empowering employees, fostering skills and confidence, and encouraging team ownership of their areas. He focuses on modernizing systems, streamlining processes, and driving continuous improvement while sharing best practices across facilities. His background in business development and customer-facing roles ensures that customers remain the primary focus of CMP’s quality systems.

Christie holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Marketing from The University of British Columbia.
